Record Directors' Interest in Share Plans
After you created a share plan, you can record directors' interest in it.
Before you start
Make sure you have created the share plans in which you want to record directors' interests. Refer to Create a Share Plan for more information.

Open the company record and go to Appointments > Interests in Plans.

On the Interest in Share Plans page, select Wizards > Acquire Interest to open the Acquire Interest in Share Plan wizard.
You can select the Opening Balance option to enter the data as at a certain date.

On the Beneficial Owner of Interest page of the wizard, select the director who has acquired the interest in shares, then select Next.

On the Share Plan page, select the share plan and issue in which the selected person has an interest, then select Next.
Administrators can add share plan types to the list on this page in System Tools > List Manager > Share Plan Types. Refer to List Manager for more information.

On the Details page, enter the details of the interest such as the interest per share, the event date, and the market value, then select Next.

On the Interest Held By page, you can select the individual holding the interest if the interest is not held directly by the beneficial owner, then select Next.

On the Notes page, enter any relevant notes and select an interest grouping if required, then select Next.
Administrators can add interest groupings to the list on this page in System Tools > List Manager > Director's Interest Groupings. Refer to List Manager for more information.

On the Action page, choose whether you want to save the event as pending or update all records immediately, then select Next.
In the Tracking section, you can assign the event to a specific user and add a reminder. Refer to Pending events to learn more.

On the Finish page, wait while the event is processed. When the status shows as Completed, select Finish to close the wizard.
If you chose to update all records immediately, the Interest in Plans page displays the director's interest you just recorded. Use the down arrow against the record to expand it and view its full details.
What's next?
You can run a report on directors' interest in share plans. To do that, open the individual's record and go to Reports > Other Individual Reports. Select the Report of Interests in Shares and Plans from the list and complete the wizard.
