Revising a document

Reviewers can have rights to either:

  • Add comments to a document

  • Add comments and edit the document

Revise a document

You should receive an email with a link to the document to review. Or, you can search for the document from the left menu, Documents.

Follow these steps to review and revise the document.

  1. Access the document. See Finding and managing documents.

  2. You may need to take ownership of a task on the document's Review Cycle tab before you can edit or comment on the document. See Taking or releasing ownership of a task.

  3. On the document's General Info tab, you can update the information, if you have security rights.

  4. Select the Document Editor tab.

  5. In the Outline, select a section to review and select the Edit button.

  6. To add a comment, select the text to comment on then select . Enter the comment and select the red left arrow.

  7. If you have editing rights, edit the document. In the example above, the phrase "world wide" was entered and displays in red text. For editing selections, see Using the Document Editor.

  8. Select Save Document to save the document section and continue to a new section.

  9. When you are done reviewing the document, you may need to go to the Review Cycle tab and release ownership of the document so others in your review queue can edit the document. See Taking or releasing ownership of a task.

Mark a phase or task as complete
