Completing a workflow task

Third-Party Manager has workflows with tasks. You need to complete tasks you own. For an overview of workflows and taskClosed Part of a workflow that itemizes certain work to be completed., see Using workflows.

The steps to complete a task follow.

  1. From the Dashboard, select WorkflowClosed A series of tasks generated based on an event or form submission. on the left menu.
  2. To work on a task, do one of the following:
    • Select the My Tasks tab.
    • Select the Unclaimed tab then select the take ownership button to move a task from the Unclaimed tab to the My Tasks tab. Then, select the My Tasks tab.
  3. In the My Tasks grid, select the task link and review the information in the task window.
    • Review the Initial Workflow section (upper left) for information on the third-party.
    • Review the Workflow Outline (lower left) to view the location of this task in the overall third-party workflow.
    • Review the task pane (right) to see what needs to be done to complete the task. (See the next step for details.)
  4. Complete the task. As show in the previous illustration steps a through d:
    1. In the task pane Review Screening Results:
      • Read the task detail, if included.
    2. In the Initial Workflow pane, you may need to perform the following functions.
      • Select the attachment button to upload, download, or delete an attachment.
        Upload an attachment by dragging and dropping a file into the gray area or select Browse... to find a file to attach. Select Upload.
        An attachment can be up to 20 MB. The following file types are allowed: bmp, csv, doc, docx, eml, et, gif, hwp, jpeg, jpg, mht, msg, ods, odt, odf, oft, pdf, pmd, png, pps, ppsx, ppt, pptx, psd, pub, rtf, thmx, tif, tiff, txt, vcf, vsd, wps, xls, xlsb, xlsx, xml.
      • Select the third-party profile button to go the third-party to perform necessary actions. Below are examples of typical tasks:
    3. In the upper right, select Save to keep the changes you have made to the task.
    4. When all the work is done and you have saved all changes, select the Mark Complete button. No further actions can be taken on the task. The task section shows the task completed with a message like: and the task status is Complete.
