Updating engagement details

The actions you can perform for a 3P EngagementClosed A 3P Profile may have one or more 3P Engagements so different business units in your organization can apply differnt risk and compliance program configurations for the 3P Profile. Cases are assigned to 3P Engagements. are the same you can perform for a 3P Profile.

  1. Display the engagement. For details, see Locating an engagement.
  2. From the engagement page, select the Record Detail tab.
    Select View to go to the 3P Profile.

Typically changes you make specific to an engagement is saved only for that engagement. For example, if you change information on the Summary tab, the information will only be saved to the engagement record and does not change the parent profile. Updates made on the Due Diligence, Training, and Connections tabs may be reflected on the parent profile, as described below.

The Record Detail tabs follow.

  • WorkflowClosed A series of tasks generated based on an event or form submission. tab: View the workflows and the workflow status.
    To add a personal filter, select the plus button, select Add Filter, then drag items to filter to the right. Select Save changes.
    To view or update a workflow, select a workflow link. For more information, see: Completing a workflow task, Using workflows, and, for administrators, Using Workflow Builder

  • Gifts tab: View and audit gift and hospitality records. Select to change the information that is displayed. Select Add New to add a record. Enter the details then select Add.

  • Connections tab: Any connection association added for an engagement is rolled up to the parent profile. For example, if you add an Associated Third Party on the 3P Engagement page for a given 3P Profile, the addition displays in both of the following locations:
    • On the engagement's page in Connections and
    • On the parent profile, Record Detail, Connections tab where associations added for an engagement are labeled with an E.
      Connections tab actions follow.  
      • To add an association, select the Add Third Party Association button. Identify the entity to link to. In This Company is a, select the relationship of the company to the current engagement: Parent, Affiliate, Subsidiary, or Partner. When the information is correct, select Create.

      • To add a Person or Entity association to the engagement, select the Add Other Association button. Select the TypeClosed The type of third party, for example, Channel Partner, Vendor, Supplier, or DO NOT ENGAGE. of connection, Person or Entity, then complete the details. Select Include in 3P Monitor if you want the person or individual included in searches. For example, a consultant may be classified as an Entity. On the Connections grid for the engagement and parent profile, the 3P Monitor column is Yes if the name of the Person or Entity is included in 3P Monitor searches. Select Save.

  • Internal Assessment tab: An engagement may have its own custom fieldClosed A field is a way to input information, often a question. data and uses the fields defined for third-parties. Custom field data that belong to the engagement may be edited while customer field data from the parent profile can only be viewed.
    When you are complete, select the Save Engagement Data button.
    Custom fields are managed by your Administrator. For details about custom fields for Administrators, see Setting fields and lists

  • Notes tab: View notes added to a 3P Profile or 3P Engagement, such as an approval comment. Engagement notes roll up to the parent profile without designation of the source. Notes added to a case do not roll up.

  • Audit Log tab: View the details of each action taken on the third-party record (including engagements). This includes the date, event, user, reference identifier, and details. If you have the correct rights, you can view all actions taken in the system. See Managing audit logs.

  • Email Log tab: View each engagement email, the date, the sender and receiver, subject, and a reference number. The email log for engagements does not roll up to the parent profile. The log is only for emails for the current record.
