Calculating SLA for findings
You can calculate the SLA due date of the findings imported from Tenable.
Prerequisites
Ensure the following:
- You have imported data from Tenable. For information about importing, see Importing Tenable data into Asset Manager.
- The imported discrete assets are linked to the aggregated assets in Asset Manager. For information about linking, see Linking discrete assets to aggregated assets.
- The criticality field in the Asset Manager assets is completed.
- The SLA matrix table is completed.
Follow these steps to calculate the SLA:
- Open the Asset Manager app.
- On the left hand side, select the expand button to open the side panel.
- Select Vulnerabilities > Settings > General tab.
- Under the SLA Matrix table, select Execute SLA Calculation.
Result The SLA calculation begins, and the Due Date is updated for all the findings in the Findings tab.
Note
If a finding has an empty field such as criticality or score, then the due date is not calculated.
How is the SLA due date calculated?
The SLA due date of a finding is calculated by adding the number of days from when the finding is first detected to the number of days allocated for its resolution.
Therefore, SLA due date = First detected date + Resolution time in days (where first detected date is from findings and resolution time is taken from the SLA matrix).
For example: If first detected date is January 1, 2024, and the SLA is 7 days,
then SLA due date = January 1, 2024 + 7 days.
SLA due date = January 8, 2024.
