Adding and managing questions
This topic describes how to add different types of questions to questionnaire pages, and includes a brief overview of each question type.

From the Questionnaire Builder, select Add question. The Add question dialog appears with a list of question types.

Select one of the following question types:

Masked questions allow respondents to hide answers to sensitive questions for full confidentiality.

Matrix questions asks respondents to evaluate one or more row items using the same set of column choices.

Text questions require a written answer.

List questions are multiple choice.

Table questions allow answers to be entered in a spreadsheet-like table.

Number questions require the answer to be a number.

Date questions require the answer to be a date.

Email questions require a valid email address as an answer.

Select Section Header to add a section header to organize groups of questions.

Select Add. The question will be added to the questionnaire.

Complete the required fields. The required fields for each question type will vary.

To create a sub-question, which appears as part of an existing question, select Add subquestion.

To add the next question, select Add question below. The Add question dialog appears.

Repeat steps two through seven to finish adding questions.

To move a question select the move icon,
hold the mouse, and then drag the question up or down the page.
