How do I contact customer support?

What is the Diligent privacy policy?

I want to update my password.

You can update your password by going to your profile in your Personal Data room. However, to complete this you must know your current password.

Note

  • Updating your password is not the same as using the "forgot password" link to reset your forgotten password.

  • Anyone using federated authentication will not have this feature available to them in their profile. For more information go to Update my Data room password.

How do I create a new folder?

Select the New Folder icon from the toolbar in your data room and follow the steps in Create a new folder.

How do I upload a file?

Go to the toolbar and select the New icon then select File upload from the menu. For more information, go to Upload files and folders.

Where do I register my mobile phone number?

Go to your profile and select the pen icon beside the Mobile phone field in your Sign-in information window. For more information go to Register or update my mobile phone number.

Can I send a file to an unregistered person to review?

Yes, you can send a link to an unregistered user - unless your organization has a restriction - so they can review the item, alternatively, you can and share it with a registered user or a team room member. For more information go to Send a link.

I sent a link to someone by accident, can I stop them from seeing the file?

Yes, you can revoke the link to prevent them from having access. For more information go to Revoke a link.

Can I share a folder with others?

A folder can be shared with another registered user in your organization by following the steps described in Share a folder

How do I add someone to our Team Data Room?

Members of a team data room do not have to be registered with your organization and they can easily be "invited". Each person will utilize a Team Data Room license unless they are already a member of another team room. You will need to ensure you have sufficient licenses for the new member or members. I want to see who has been editing or opening my files.

There are a few ways to check what actions have been taken on a file by you or others. You can track activities on the details of sent links, check the history of a file or folder, and also by creating an activity report. For more information go to View activity in files and folders

Can I stop someone from editing a file in our team room?

Yes, by setting their permissions and the groups they are assigned to. These can be changed at any stage by the Data Room Manager or any user assigned Manage Members permissions. For more information go to Manage a team room member’s groups and permissions and Permissions in Team Data rooms.

Here are a few queries you may have as an Organization admin.

How do I delete a user who has left the company?

Completing all the necessary steps when someone has left the company is really important to ensure all data remains secure. They will need to be "off-boarded" by deleting and blocking them so they no longer have access to files or folders. This should also be communicated to any Team room users they may have collaborated with. The steps are covered in Off-boarding process and we strongly recommend that it is undertaken as soon as possible to maintain security.
