Administrator home page in BoardEffect
When you sign in to BoardEffect, the home page displays first. The Administrators home page is similar to the Board members home page, with additional options available for Administrators to set up and manage meetings efficiently and securely.
Generally, the layout of the Administrators home page consists of the following:

Navigation Bar on the left of the home page, with a list of options to quickly access and manage areas such as workrooms, Directory, Library, or Site Settings.

Main display area in the middle of the home page, displaying the Welcome Message, Calendar of Events, News, Polls and Surveys, Tasks, Scheduler, and Discussions.

Header in the top right of the home page, displaying Search, What's New, Help, and Profile. Here, you can search the full site and stay up to date on the latest product updates from Diligent BoardEffect. You can also access your own Profile settings, find contact information for your organization's system administrator and our dedicated customer support team, access our Knowledge Base, or sign out.
Note
User permissions set up in the Directory control the options and content that an individual workroom administrator sees on the home page. Only system administrators have access to Site Settings and all other options and content in BoardEffect.
Navigation Bar
The Navigation Bar is a sidebar menu with a list of main options on the BoardEffect platform where Administrators can set up and manage meetings, meeting materials, and other resources, including workrooms, Library, and Directory pages. Additionally, system administrators can access Site Settings on the Navigation Bar.

Home – Select the home icon from ?any page in BoardEffect in order to go back to or refresh the home page.

Workrooms – Access the list of Board and Committee workrooms where you are the designated workroom administrator or a Member.
Note
System administrators can access all workrooms for their organization.

Library – Access and manage files and documents in the Resource Library. You can also access Meeting Books and supplemental documents in the workroom libraries for Boards or Committees where you are the designated workroom administrator or a Member.

System administrators can access all files and documents in all libraries.

Directory – Access and manage the directory of all users, including creating and deactivating user accounts. Depending on your Administrator permissions, you can edit user profiles or add users to specific workrooms.

Messaging – Send an email message directly from BoardEffect to a user, individually or grouped by user categories or workrooms.

Approvals – View and respond to approval requests that you received and view your own approval history. Additionally, view and manage approval requests that you have created or have permission to view, including messaging approvers.
Note
System administrators can access all approvals and their history.

Site Settings – The Site Settings menu option is only available to system administrators to set up and manage users and user categories, workrooms, mobile devices, email templates, security options, and so on. Here, system administrators can also run reports and set up third-party software integrations.

Logo – Find your organization's logo at the top of the Navigation Bar.
Note
System administrators can upload the logo in Site Settings / General Settings / Look and Feel.

Menu icon – Select the menu icon to show or hide the Navigation Bar on the home page.
Welcome Message, Calendar of Events, News, Polls and Surveys, Tasks, Scheduler, Discussions
This area of the home page displays upcoming meetings and events, important news and updates, and collaboration requests among Board and Committee Members. Administrators also have the option to edit and manage the items in the sections.
Open any of the sections by selecting the down arrow.
You can also navigate between the sections by expanding or collapsing each section and scrolling up and down the page.
The main display area holds the following sections:

Welcome Message - View, add or edit a welcome message from your organization.

My Upcoming Events - Preview your upcoming events or meetings, with options to add or review attachments, edit meeting details, and duplicate or delete a meeting.
You can Open Calendar directly from My Upcoming Events. You can also export events to your Outlook or Google calendar, or subscribe to the Calendar in BoardEffect.
Note
To ensure you can access your calendar at any time, the Open Calendar and Export options display on the My Upcoming Events card even when there is no future event that you need to review.
An indicator next to My Upcoming Events shows the number of your upcoming meetings.
Note
System administrators can access, edit, and delete all events.
When you select an Upcoming Event, the event details open and display additional information about the meeting. You can take the same actions here as if you were editing or managing the event in Workroom Event.

News - Preview news, updates, and announcements that you have created or that were added for the workrooms where you are a member. You can edit or delete the news items in this section.
An indicator next to News shows the number of news items that have been uploaded.
To read the full text of the news item, select Read More.

System administrators can access, edit, and delete all News.

My Polls and Surveys - Preview the polls and surveys that you are managing or respond to those that you are invited to take. Here, you can edit the surveys, including survey settings, view the results, and archive or delete the polls and surveys.
An indicator next to My Polls and Surveys shows the number of polls or surveys that are waiting for your response.
Select the title of the poll or survey to open it.

System administrators can access, edit, and delete all Polls and Surveys.
- My Tasks - Preview tasks that have been assigned to you.
An indicator next to My Tasks shows the number of tasks that are waiting for your response.
Select the title of the task to open it.
Note
System administrators can access, edit, and delete all Tasks.
- My Schedulers - Preview scheduling requests that you've sent or answer those that are waiting for your response. Here, you can edit, delete or archive the scheduler requests that you are managing. You can also view the results or edit the scheduling settings.
An indicator next to My Schedulers shows the number of future meetings that are in this section.
Select the title of the scheduler to open the request and submit your preference.

System administrators can access, edit, and delete all Schedulers.

My Discussions - Preview discussions that you've created or are invited to participate in. Here, you can edit the discussion details and participants, and archive or delete a discussion.
An indicator next to My Discussions shows the number of discussions in this section.
Select the title of the discussion to view more details or participate in the discussion.

System administrators can access, edit, and delete all Discussions.
Search, What's New, Help, and Profile
The top right area of the home page holds the search, product announcements, help, and profile sections. You can also sign out of BoardEffect here.
- Search - Type your search terms in the search field, such as name of a meeting book, and search the full site for results, including document name and content.

What's New - Select the bell icon to see the latest product updates and stay up to date on important news and information from Diligent BoardEffect.

Help - Select Open knowledge base to find step-by-step instructions, videos, and webinar recordings on new and existing features and learn more about the product. Alternatively, select Contact support to get in touch with our dedicated customer support team. You can also find the contact information of your system administrator here.

Profile - Access and edit your own Profile, Change Password, or Sign Out of BoardEffect.
